Indicate when a TV mount is used or new

The website should ask the customer if the TV mount is new or used. There are many times when a used TV mount is missing a lot of screws/lags and there are no instructions. There should be an extra fee for providing screws or lags - screws or lags are not free and tech needs to buy them

This is an interesting idea but most mounts are usually fairly easy to figure out and I usually keep the extra hardware left over from the mounts. I’ve never had to buy anything for a mounting job other than toggles.

I supplement my m4, m6, m8 bolts, washers, lags and concrete anchors whenever I complete an install, I ask the client if they wish to retain or toss out the unused parts. Most say toss, 2 or 3 times a year I go through the bags and resupply my mounting hardware toolbox.

But yes, this is a big issue when used mounts are supplied. A trip to hardware and back can add 30-90 minutes or more to the job time depending on job distance from hardware store.

Some customers supply old TV mounts with missing hardware. They even blame you for not carrying spare mounts.
