Charge customers for a "helper fee" if not able to help with two-person jobs
Techs should be able to team up with other techs and earn a helper fee of at least $50. Customer should pay a lot more for 2 man job.

Jon Winters MergedOn TV mount jobs for large TVs. Please raise the price enough to cover helper if the customer cannot help lift the TV.

Scott Higgins MergedSometimes I get an order I can’t do by myself and the customer can’t/won’t help. Like mounting a 70+ in tv. I’ve had to take a friend with me several times

David C in DC$25 isn’t nearly enough to cover actual costs of having to bring a 2nd person. Tech ends up forfeiting upwards of half the revenue to the helper to make it worth their while. Imagine a Walmart TV mounting job at 60 bucks, where the customer refuses to help so you bring a helper, get the $25 and ultimately split $85 between the two?

Richard PaulIf customer cannot help lift larger TV’s then charger for a helper fee. Current payouts do not make these jobs worth the travel and time if you have to bring and pay a second person. Thanks

Hank GalloI always refuse jobs on larger tv's if the client cannot assist. It is not worth the liability or physical risk.

Jonathon Ludwig MergedWhenever a customer cannot help lift a TV and I have to bring an assistant to help, I have to call Lynn and get the helper fee added. I think we should be paid the helper fee as soon as the customer selects know in the drop-down for helping lift the TV.

Andrew WilliamsOr just don't offer the job if the customer won't help lift. We are all private contractors, there are no "helpers." Why create customer expectations for something we can't do?

Brian M.I don’t do tv mounting for this reason at all. If HelloTech doesn’t insist that a second tech be on the list that HelloTech provides by double listing jobs that require a second personal to do the job (like tv mounting over 55”) then there needs to be a fee for this that covers a second person to do the job.I’ve had a customer ask me to lift a 70” by myself and expect me to put it on their tv stand! I told them that isn’t reasonable that I would need their help. And they finally did, but that’s crazy to ask me to do something like that!

Josh WalkerI have had this same problem from the beginning. It's frustrating once you see the payout split between tech and HelloTech.
None of your expenses are accounted for these days. Everything is underpriced to customers, and takes out of the techs pocket.
