Give techs an options to mark a job "mostly completed"
When you have a job, it’s either done or not.
We need an option that says what you did complete and which part wasn’t done (if needed) - for example, you connected the doorbell to the TV but didn't set up the security part due to issue with the device. It is too black and white right now and if I install something and it doesn’t work because of another issue or the wall won’t hold, I should be paid for the job since not only am I installing the device but I am uninstalling it sometimes as well ( ie doorbells thermostat etc).

Chris SnyderThis is a common problem when installing security systems as well. I recently had a job that I had to travel almost 200 miles roundtrip to complete. I couldn't complete the job because the husband left the home before I was finished. He set up the account on his cell phone but never gave the password to his wife before leaving and would not answer when his wife called or call or text her back with the password. So I only got paid $25 for almost 200 miles of traveling and over 6 hours of work. I lost big on that job. If we are unable to totally complete a job due to factors we have no control over we should still get paid.

Bolanle OdunugaI wish you would consider prorating the jobs and /or giving a base (showUp) pay. There are several jobs that I completed in part or could not complete due to no fault of mine that I ended up not getting paid for.

SelinaI had the same thing happen to more than once. The job was completed physically but the was an issue with the device, software or on the clients side.

Chris L.This is true. Sometimes you can do 90% of a job but can't ethically complete it because you KNOW it's not done and you aren't a jerkoff claiming you did it all. Right now, if one absolutely needed the money they could just claim it was completed and the customer will have to complain. That's NOT ACCEPTABLE. I don't want us to be known as shit techs because the app doesn't have this feature.
