Ask customers to select a 1-2 hour appointment arrival window (not an exact time)
Set expectations that appointment is within a one-hour arrival window rather than tech arriving at the top of hour. Exact eta still sent to customer within that hour.

Clyde KilgoreThis would be a great feature, most other service based companies schedule using windows VS Exact times.

Kevin WilliamsThere should be a 2-hour (or even 3 hour) window for which a technician will arrive. Many plumbing, electrical and delivery contractors/companies have 2-hour windows to accommodate the traffic in many metro areas like Miami.

FelixThis would be great if implemented. Usually the app requires one to be there at the exact time which doesn't in real life. Some distances are greater that others. A window shd be provided.

GeorgeTime window is a good thing that I if you are running late it won't go against the tech....exact time should be a thing of the past.

Dan in FLYes, if cable techs and phone techs get 2-8hr arrival times, we should get, at the least, a 2 hr arrival window! It is how I have been operating my own business for the last 6 yrs and it is way more preferable to the techs and the customers.

Jaron BanksI'm adding an example that caused friction with the client, the client was td by Hellotech I would arrive between 9-11 am, I scheduled the job for 9am. The cx said he asked for a 30 minute call so he could come home to meet me and did not receive that call. Whatever is put in place the cx has to be notified when the tech is on the way, repeated complaints from customers is the customer service on the Hellotech side. That causes problems for the techs because we have to deal with cx's.

Gregg A.The way the NYC transit system is running these days during covid, it is extremely difficult to get anywhere at an exact time. Train schedules change without any notice, and train lines that are normally running are canceled completely with little to no notice.

Jacob EHaving an appointment window would be great instead of being so strict about arriving exactly at the top of the hour. I've called the customer beforehand and agreed upon a 1-hour window but the HT app keeps sending me notifications that I'm running late. Being able to select a more flexible appointment window would be great and reduce stress on techs, since many of us have other school or work to do since we are doing this part time.
