Nick WinningerThis better be an option to go higher, not lower. HT is already taking anywhere from 40-60% on jobs. The counter offer would be a way for a technician to say, you are offering X, my time and expertise is worth more so I’ll accept it for a counter with X+Y. This should not be an attempt to counter payouts between technicians.

Eric BuerkeGreat idea!

Rick LeeThis would give Tech better compensation & willing to drive further to complete the job.

Paul NicksI’d like to be able to counter on the work order while using the app.

NealDefinitely need this feature. I’ve passed up a lot of jobs for tv mounting because they were only $60. If I could have countered I would have been more willing to do the job. I’ve notice some jobs go up in price if no one accepts the job. Why not start it off a higher rate since some of them eventually get listed on another job platform at a higher rate.

OBINNA ALOZIEThis is very important since some of us here has full time job commitments, and our businesses it will be nice to be able to counter where necessary.

David C in DCIt’s not clear to me how this would really work in the real world. So you put a counter offer out there, but the platform is going to try to pitch the job to any tech who’ll take it before circling back to the customer with a counter offer… Then what? Are they going to present all the counter offers to the customer? Are Tech’s essentially just bidding against each other! SI if you offer to do the job for one dollar less than someone else, only then does your counter offer gets presented to the customer? All the while the technician presumably gets zero visibility into anything going on behind the scenes… I can see how a counter offer might be useful once the job ends up on the job board assuming no one is willing to take it otherwise. But to suggest there’s a counter offer process as part of a typical job offer workflow, just doesn’t make sense to me.

Trevor A ThomasThis is a great feature due to the jobs being giving and the amount being paid out isnt matching the amount of drive time. En route milage should be added on to pay. This might help with job that are miles away.

Jason BakerI agree completely. Some of or should I say most of the offers are a slap in the face really. The amount variables that can unfold within minutes of arriving at a customer's house is unbelievable sometimes. $60 for potentially 2hrs of time is not worth anyone's time. The experience necessary to do a lot of this work is not easy to come by and should be accommodated, especially considering the level of troubleshooting required sometimes. Requiring conversation with techs before we go could eliminate a lot of wasted time and money.

Vinita DuniphinYes especially when the jobs are 40 miles away, maybe an option to add for mileage too.

Matt Bennetti agree with counter offers. i have no problem with farther away jobs if I can put travel offer it.
-

Clyde KilgoreI think this is a great idea provided it is a thought out process, it could be really useful for the really low paying jobs, example $60 for mounting a large TV, which is un heard of.

Christopher M. GamboaDefinitely agreed, HT is not recognizing enough our expertise, time an travel expenses! Another thing is that they're paying $25 for a helper but i never get anyone that wants to go with me for $25...

GeorgeTv and thermostat payout are too low due to extra work at time s has to put in to get those device working properly
-

MarvinThe permanent fix here is to adjust the payout percentage; I've completed jobs were I'm only paid 33% of the total amount of the job. This should be the other way around. All HT is really doing is providing us with job leads at a very high cost. This really needs to change.

techI found out that the dispatch outsource center in Phillipines is not paying attention to tech counter offers by text as they used to. I see that they are using the other platform for counter-offers for non-HelloTech technicians and this is not fair to us who are actual HelloTech technicians. The California corporate Support Team needs to address this issue before they lose jobs and techs, not to mention $ if jobs are not given to HelloTech techs as I have seen tickets get cancelled by customers who want their requested work done sooner eather than later.

Nathan R MesserIt would work if Hello Tech was willing to pay more for the job. It has nothing to do with the customer paying more. The % HT gets would go down , not customer prices go up. It's a negotiation between HT & the Tech. Not the tech and the customer. It would definitely work. Plus happier techs/ employees in the long run mean better reviews & better quality work done. Im not sure why companies don't get it, spread that wealth around , put a bonus system in place for the techs with perfect records every quarter not JUST a tech of the month. If HT was willing to take 25% on certain jobs instead 40-60% , especially on jobs such as if the customer has specifically requested a certain tech or booked the tech through their personal profile page portal , since return customers & their referrals cost less to acquire than a new customer from a marketing stand point then that piece of the pie should be bigger for that tech. Also could be based on how long the tech has been with HT,

Nathan R MesserThis also should not be a bidding war between techs .

Dan in FLALL TV mount jobs, should be a minimum of $100 payout - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Either tell Walmart to "up the ante" or get lost!
If any job is further than 30min travel from home, the pay should increase by $25 for every extra 30min. (Thanks to "Bidenflation" gas ain't getting cheaper!) -

JasonI regularly get job offers for $50-$70 that are 60, 70, 80, even 100+ miles away! I understand that this is Texas and things are far apart, but I would more willing to drive from Houston to Beaumont if I could request extra pay for the excessive drive.

Joe TejedaExcellent idea ! Because some jobs take up way much more time than we put into . Or when they ask for extra things .
-

Terrell ArringtonJust put the payouts back to the way the were before Covid. Ex. The payout for mounting a 50 inch TV was 102, 65 inch was 139, etc
-
21 Jan, '22
Jaime DiazI agree with you Terrell Arrington. Ever since Wal-mart TV jobs for $60. HT has keeped the same price on their end but lowered their payout price.
-
24 Jan, '22
Andrew WilliamsYeah, a lot of jobs as posted by HT are not worth anyone's time. If you want skilled techs, you need to pay them what they ask, not what you'd like to pay.

TechThe new Job Board was released today and it doesn't include a counter offer option. That is needed.
The only jobs I have accepted the past few months have been counter offers via the job board and return visit jobs with increased payouts because the initial tech screwed up. Otherwise the payouts are too low and not worth it. -

StephenThe latest 4 FSTV installations I’ve received have been $60. All were jobs where customer was charged additionally for this. $180+
Nearly every job (Walmart specific were always low paying) was over $100 before this past January. Gas is now $1.04 more in my area in just 3 weeks.
